It’s a strange process indeed, so we’ve posted a new guide to Curtis Heavy that hopefully clears things up.
Meanwhile, the ability to save your recordings is on the way. They will be accessible through the same browser interface, so you can move them to your computer as well.
There’s a minor bug I found:
When I activate the Web Access, the url given is too long, so it ends with “…” and I can’t see the port number. So I had to manually assign a smaller ip for the iPod via it’s preferences, but I guess this could be easily fixed if you allowed the screen to rotate and give enough space for the whole URL.
Are those ET fingers on the guide??? Strange…
Thanks Savio, a bug fix is on the way! Meanwhile, for the other users, where did you manage to shrink your IP address?
On the iPod Touch Settings > Wi-Fi. Selected my network and changed from DHCP to Static. Copied everything from DHCP and changed only the 2 last IP numbers to 1 digit only instead of 3…
Biggest thanks! A fix is in the Apple queue; out as soon as they bless it.
Phone.. home..
uploading is working fine now, but i’m finding it pretty unpredictable whether the sample will load in OK. sometimes i get a load of silence with a bit of noise at the end (usually from mono samples) and often i just get a bit of the sample mapped across the screen.
is there a sample length limit to what you can load in? and what’s the best format (mono/stereo, sample rate, bits etc)?
